Portugal Paralympic Committee HQ

The new Headquarters of the Paralympic Committee of Portugal will carry a strong public character that extends beyond its regular activities, embracing a polyvalent role across sports, culture, and leisure.
The project aims to materialize the Committee’s values and mission, expressing equality, inclusion, and sporting excellence through an architectural language that is both distinctive and boldly positioned within the territory, while remaining calibrated to the scale of its surroundings.
This ambition to create a fluid building generates pathways that define the program as a continuous circuit, where ramps take on a central role, not only for those who require them, but as inviting elements that connect all spaces around a central garden.
Here, circulation designed to ensure universal mobility is not merely a matter of regulations or standards; it is the structuring foundation of the architectural concept.
The intention is for every point of the complex to be accessible without the need for stairs or elevators, from the underground parking level all the way to the highest entrance of the building.
